Lecture Over a Glass of Wine “Frida Kahlo”
About event
Frida came to the opening of her first exhibition in bed because the doctor forbade her to stand. She painted a medical corset and ordered an elegant prosthesis for herself, and wrote in her diary: "Feet, why do I need you, if I have wings to fly?" She has a self-portrait with a broken column in place of her spine, but it was impossible to break Frida. Why was she constantly thinking about death, but not afraid of it? Why are her most sensual paintings still lifes, and her patron saint is Karl Marx? On Saturday, we will talk about the phenomenon of Frida Kahlo with art critic Zarina Asfari, author of the books "Being a Genius" and "Art History for Developing Skills of the Future."
